3 Days 2 Nights MALIAU BASIN RAINFOREST

DAY 1
Take morning bus bus from Kota Kinabalu to Telupid town. Journey takes about 2 and half hour (subject to traffic). At 12.30PM, meet up with your guide at Seri Dewi Restaurant (you can see it from the roadside) and transfer by Four Wheel Vehicle to Maliau Basin. The journey takes about 2 – 2 and half hours on a bumpy road. You will see villages and oil palm plantation along the journey.

Upon arrival at Maliau Basin base, your guide will do the registration before you check-in to your camp. Power supply and Wifi (although might not work sometimes!) available at the base on scheduled time.
After dinner, you will go for your first night walk to search nocturnal wildlife.

Back to Maliau base and overnight.

DAY 2
6AM : Another guided walk to spot more wildlife.
Back to Maliau base and have breakfast. Free and easy before your trek.

After lunch, get ready for your trek via another trail. The trail is 2KM distance and at the end of the trek, is the majestic 7 tiers Maliau Falls. Take a dip in the cold and refreshing water. You also have option to continue for another trek before or after your stop at the 7 tiers Maliau Falls.
Trek back to Maliau base while continue looking for wildlife along your way back.
Dinner
Another night walk for more chances of nocturnal wildlife.

DAY 3
6AM : Guided morning walk.
Breakfast and check-out.

** Activity might be changed subject to weather condition and safety (i.e: In case of elephants presence at the area, your itinerary will be change). Our guide will update with you.
** Timing of each activity may be different from stated on this itinerary. Our guide will be communicating with you from time to time.
** Drinking water supply is from the distilled water tap. If you do not keen to drink tap supplied water, you can buy bottles water in Telupid town before we start the journey to Maliau Basin.

Recommended things to bring: Good trekking shoes, leech socks, raining coat, torchlight, binocular
