Danum Valley Conservation Area is a 438 square kilometres tract of relatively undisturbed lowland dipterocarp forest in Sabah, Malaysia. It has an extensive diversity of tropical flora and fauna, including such species as the rare Sumatran rhinoceros, orangutans, gibbons, mousedeer, clouded leopards and over 270 bird species. Activities offered are jungle treks, river swimming, bird watching, night jungle tours and excursions to nearby logging sites and timber mills.


Day 1

Pick-up from Lahad Datu airport or your hotel in Lahad Datu for your 2 hours hourney drive to the Danum Valley Conservation Area. Enjoy the changing landscapes of the regenerating forests to Virgin rainforests of a million years old! Check-in to the Borneo Rainforest Lodge and prep yourself for an Introduction Trek on the Nature Trail and Canopy Walkway. Safari night drive after dinner.

Day 2

Wake up to the calls of the Borneon Gibbons and start your day with a trek to the View Point, Kadazandusun burial site- Coffin Cliff. Take a short break by the Natural Jacuzzi pool for a refreshing dip before lunch. Afternoon : Optional activities – tubing session down the river or an option of the jungle trekking. NightWalk on the Nature Trail after dinner.

Day 3

Optional : Early morning walk and return to the Lodge for lunch before check-out to Lahad Datu.
