Gerama Wetland River Cruise

The highlight of this tour is ~ of course, seeing the remarkable Proboscis Monkey in the wild! Seeing the bizarre monkey with their natural behaviour in the mangroves is truly a wonderful experience.

Besides having the opportunity to see the Proboscis Monkey, one may also get the chance to see variety of birds, the common Macaque gathering in large numbers, sighting of the rare Silver Langour, large group of water buffalo and if you're lucky enough, you may see crocodiles by the river bank.

Itinerary

1300 hours
Pick up from KK Hotel. Depart Kota Kinabalu and head towards the Southwestern part of Sabah. Approximately 2 hours journey through breathtaking scenery along the coastal bay. Upon arrival, coffee and tea will be served with cakes made by the locals.

1600 hours
Onboard comfortable fiberglass boat for 1 hour 45 minutes in search of wildlife along the riverbank.

1800 hours
Buffet dinner will be served among the glittering lanterns that light up the area. After dinner, catch glimpses of fireflies slowly lighting up and decorating the mangrove trees (if weather permits). Along your way to the coach, you will be accompanied by the crickets happily singing to wish you safely home.

2130 hours
Estimated time of arriving in Kota Kinabalu. End of tour.
