The island is located 40 km north of Sandakan in the Sulu Sea.

Visitors are not allowed on the beach from 18:00–06:00 hrs due to Turtle Islands Marine Park regulations.

Wake up to the gentle sounds of birds and prepare for the morning river cruise. Meet your guide at the jetty.
2) 06: 00 hrs
Set out on a morning river cruise, enjoying the cool breeze while spotting wildlife along the riverbank. Many animals linger here overnight and feed before retreating into the forest to avoid predators and the midday heat. Wildlife is most active during early morning and evening. Afterward, you’ll have some free time in the middle of the day to read, take a nap, or participate in optional activities.

Return to the lodge for breakfast at Tanini Kinabatangan.
4) 09: 00 hrs
Join your guide for a nature walk along the Kinabatangan River, exploring the rich flora and fauna of the area.

Lunch at Mango Garden Restaurant Kinabatangan. The afternoon is free for leisure until the next river cruise. You can choose to join optional activities such as:

Embark on an evening river cruise to observe wildlife and birdlife along the mighty Kinabatangan River. This 560 km-long river is home to remarkable wildlife, including proboscis monkeys, macaques, silver langurs, hornbills, kingfishers, oriental darters, and snakes. You may also catch a glimpse of the endemic Borneo Pygmy Elephants (the world’s smallest elephants) or the elusive Orangutan. Please note that wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.

Return to the lodge, freshen up, and enjoy dinner.
8) 20: 00 hrs
Experience a night trek to observe sleeping birds and other nocturnal creatures in the jungle.

Return to your room. Overnight at the lodge.

Get ready for your final river cruise along the Kinabatangan River.

Say your farewells to the Tanini Kinabatangan staff before traveling back to your drop-off point. Continue your journey to Sandakan, and be dropped off either at your accommodation or Sandakan Airport.
